Jason Parete

Email Jason
Jason has lived against the conventional norms since his childhood upbringing in Amherstburg.  He has only recently been diagnosed with bipolar mood disorder.  This mental health challenge has afforded him with numerous lived experiences.  He has recognized that these rich opportunities  from mania and depression as well as a full range of emotional awareness can be expressed creatively.   He exchanged selling multi-million dollar condos in Toronto for paintbrushes in Windsor.  Jason is focused on growing the message of his start-up non-profit business - Go and Be You.

Jason has published The Wonder Walls: From The Streets of Toronto and is currently working on publishing two children's books in collaboration with professionals in multiple disciplines.  He is completing his Visual Arts degree from the University of Windsor as well as attending Toastmasters to gain public speaking confidence as an advocate.  He is happy to volunteer with the AIDS Committee of Windsor in empowering those affected by the disease as well as developing fundraising events.  He has taken a variety of workshops and courses in addictions recovery, mental health wellness and empowerment building.

He enjoys long distance cycling and annually cycles from Toronto to Montreal (650km) for Toronto People with AIDS Foundation's Friends for Life Bike Rally.  He loves hanging out with his bulldog Cooper.
